Block-tower stability model
A computational model of human intuitive-physics judgments: each tower is simulated many times with perceptual noise and a latent push, and P(unstable) is the share of runs in which it falls, averaged over the unknown noise and push. These pages show the model's predictions for a demo set of 10 random towers.
- Tower simulations in 3DInteractive WebGL views: towers on a P(unstable) floor, trembling towers, replays of the model's runs, where blocks land, and per-setting stability terrains.
- Tower simulation labTen more 3D views: strobe trails, cinematic slow-mo, light painting, forking futures, shake the table, predict-then-watch, perceptual noise, tipping phase portraits, fall-direction roses and stability basins.
- P(unstable) by towerEach tower's drawing above its bar; towers and bars each share one scale.
- Height vs P(unstable)Nine ways to label a height vs instability scatter with drawings of the towers.
- The towersIsometric, front and side views of every tower in the demo set.
